EU Contact Centre Privacy Notice

We respect your concerns about privacy and value the relationship we have with you. Estée Lauder Cosmetics Limited, One Fitzroy, 6 Mortimer Street, London, W1T 3JJ is responsible for processing the personal data you provide to the Customer Contact Centre.

When you contact our Customer Contact Centre, we collect personal data from you such as your name, contact information, the subject-matter of your inquiry or complaint, your phone conversation with our staff, the responses to our Consumer Product Questionnaire and other details contained in your inquiry or complaint, including your personal and physical characteristics, consumption habits, and health related data.

We use the personal data you provide to investigate and address your inquiry or complaint, and where applicable, to:

  • • Monitor and analyze our products and services;
  • • Report some effects of our products to the competent authorities;
  • • Improve the quality of our services and train our staff;
  • • Keep statistics and develop reports about our products and services; and
  • • Maintain internal records.

We do so to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations and pursue our legitimate interests in improving our products and services. Upon request, you may obtain information on the reasons why we consider our legitimate interests do not override your interests.

Your personal data will be shared only with authorized personnel of our Customer Contact Centre, Research & Development, Reporting and Analytics departments, and our head office . Our service providers in charge of translation, our contact centre technology, and hosting our databases may also have access to your data for these sole purposes. We may also share your personal data with national authorities, where required to comply with our legal reporting obligations or, as the case may be, with health professionals. Our head office and service providers may be located outside of the European Union in countries that have not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection (such as the United States). When we transfer your personal data to such a country, we implement measures, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure that your personal data remains protected after it has been transferred in compliance with Article 46 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

We will keep your personal data until the conclusion of the investigation of your inquiry or complaint, or for a longer period as it may be required by applicable law. We maintain appropriate safeguards designed to protect the personal data you provide, including limiting access to your personal data on a need-to-know basis.

In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to access, modify or delete your personal data.
